Guidelines for Use
01 Dr. Gregory Makoul owns the copyright for all versions of the CAT. In addition to appropriate citation, the copyright line MUST be included on any version in any language in any format (print or electronic; questionnaire, publication, etc.).
02 It is essential that any translation is both technically accurate and culturally appropriate. The CAT as you plan to use it -- whether translated or not -- MUST be shared with Dr. Makoul for review before use.
03 In terms of scoring, we only report "% excellent" (not mean scores), because our scale-development work demonstrated that "excellent" maps onto "yes" and everything else maps onto "no."
